Overview

The Jenkins integration monitors your CI/CD platform: builds, pipelines, and users. LowerPlane uses read-only access via Basic Authentication with an API Token to collect compliance evidence automatically.

Prerequisites

You need Jenkins Admin access and the PeopleView plugin installed to enable user monitoring.

How to Get Your API Token

Log in to Jenkins

Log in to your Jenkins instance with an admin account.

Open user configuration

Click on your username in the top right, then go to Configure (or navigate to <jenkins-url>/user/<username>/configure).

Generate an API token

Under API Token, click Add new Token, give it a name like “LowerPlane”, and click Generate. Copy the token immediately.

Connecting in LowerPlane

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in LowerPlane
  2. Find Jenkins under DevOps
  3. Enter your Jenkins URL (e.g., https://jenkins.yourcompany.com)
  4. Enter your Username and API Token
  5. Click Connect
Ensure the PeopleView plugin is installed in Jenkins for LowerPlane to collect user and access data. Install it from Manage Jenkins > Manage Plugins.
