Overview

The SendGrid integration monitors your email platform configuration: teammates, API keys, and sender identities. LowerPlane uses read-only access via an API Key to collect compliance evidence automatically.

Prerequisites

You need SendGrid Admin permissions to create an API key with the required scopes.

How to Get Your API Key

Log in to SendGrid

Log in to your SendGrid Dashboard.

Navigate to API Keys

Go to Settings > API Keys > Create API Key.

Set permissions

Choose Restricted Access and enable the following:
  • teammates.read — Read teammate information

Copy the key

Copy the generated API key. This is shown only once.

Connecting in LowerPlane

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in LowerPlane
  2. Find SendGrid under Communication
  3. Enter your API Key
  4. Click Connect
